You can check this in several ways.

1. Put the billiard cue on the billiard table, initially making sure that the cloth is clean and without chafing, and ride it (cue). It should go smoothly, without bouncing. However, remember that there are cues that have a flat area on the butt. Such platform serves to facilitate the capture. For such models of billiard cues, this way of testing is not appropriate.

2. For people with excellent eyesight. Take the cue, as if you're going to shoot, and rotate it around.
